Now offering custom paper maché masks and sculptures

Published by Manning on January 14th, 2017

Interested in a custom papier-mâché mask, sculpture, cosplay armor/accessories, etc made by yours truly? I’ve been getting a lot of requests about paper maché commissions lately so I’ve added a page about custom pieces, with some guidelines about timing and pricing. Drop me a line and let’s talk!

Manning Krull custom paper maché sculptures and masks

These pics are just a sample of the commissions I’ve worked on recently for various Halloween parties, Mardi Gras and Carnival parades, cosplay outfits, and other things. A couple of these aren’t even paper maché! But that’s what I specialize in and that’s what most people Google. I’m comfortable working with a variety of materials; let me know what you have in mind and I can tell you more. The circumstances of how/where a piece is going to be displayed are usually what dictate what the most appropriate materials are. Got an idea? Check out my page about custom pieces for more information.

Manning, I am room captain of one of the Mardi Gras organizations in Mobile, AL. I am considering adding a paper mache sculpture as a centerpiece for a round table holding dishes, utensils, and napkins. I am not sure, however, of the cost for doing something like this?

I saw this jester, which I thought would make a neat centerpiece for a Mardi Gras party.

As I’ve never purchased anything like before, I have no idea how much something like this would cost. I would appreciate your thoughts.
