Custom paper maché masks, sculptures, etc
Interested in ordering a custom papier-mâché mask, sculpture, cosplay armor/accessories, or other stuff made by me? I’m now taking commissions! You can email me at manning@manningkrull.com for an estimate. Some things to keep in mind for commission orders:
- Please tell me as much as you can about what you have in mind: What would you like? How big? When do you need it? Feel free to send me pictures for reference!
- Most of my big paper maché commissions take one to two months to complete, so please plan accordingly. I can sometimes cut down the timeline, but a rush fee would apply.
- Once we’ve worked out a price, I’ll ask for a 50% deposit (non-refundable), and the remaining 50% when the piece is completed. I’m happy to send you pics of my progress along the way.
- Customer pays shipping, or you can pick up your piece if you’re near New York. (I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan.)
- All sales are final and non-refundable.
- Of course skulls and monsters are my specialty, but I’m happy to make other things as well; animals, objects, etc.
Pricing — For reference, most of my masks, sculptures, cosplay props, Halloween decorations, etc take anywhere from 40 to 120 hours of work, depending on how complicated the design is. As a general guideline, here are some rough prices for some pieces I’ve made; please contact me (manning@manningkrull.com) for an estimate for any kind of project you have in mind. (Note: the following pieces are not for sale; they’re either already sold or in my permanent collection. But if you want something similar I can make ’em again.)
- Large (18″) skull mask: $900
- Violin skull mask: $2200
- Cuckoo clock skull mask: $2400
- Wolf skull mask: $2000
- 5-foot alligator: $1200
- 3-headed sea serpent: $3500
- 12″ cupcake: $600
- 17″ baby chick: $400 (each)
- 18″ demonic book: $1200
- 6-foot bat: $800
Of course these prices are just a guideline to give you an idea. Smaller pieces and/or less complicated pieces could certainly cost less than the above. Let me know what you have in mind and I’m happy to give you a free estimate. Feel free to email me and let’s discuss!
Shipping fees — I ship all my masks and sculptures by UPS. A couple examples for reference: the shipping cost for my 5-foot alligator was about $65, and for the three-headed sea serpent it was about $125. These figures include both the shipping fee and packing materials, and both items were shipped to locations within the US.
